It’s that time of the year. Nearly 200,000 people from all over the world will descend upon Las Vegas to discover the latest, most exciting consumer technology and innovations at CES. We’re excited to be a part of it and proud to say that we’ll be involved in the show’s first ever Smart Energy Marketplace, an area of the show run completely on an independent energy microgrid.
Our home energy monitoring hardware will be installed in the microgrid so we can monitor and show in real-time the area’s energy generation and usage including the cost of charging an on-site Tesla. We will also be installed on the NXP Smarter World Tour bus, which is like a rolling smart home, to give attendees a live view into the amount of energy being consumed by appliances in the bus. It’s amazing how having this level of insight about your home energy usage can influence energy-saving behavior. We hope to illustrate that at CES through our live installations.
Our CEO, Erik Norwood, will be speaking at the Smart Energy Marketplace as well to showcase CURB, highlight top features, and discuss a few case studies showing how CURB helped customers save money. Don’t miss an opportunity to hear his presentation, “Smart Home Performance: The Missing Link” at the Smart Energy Marketplace following times:
- – Thursday, January 5 from 5 to 530 PM
- – Friday, January 6, from 10 to 1030 AM
- – Saturday, January 7 from 11 to 1130 AM
